Members describe the atmosphere as caring and welcoming the moment you walk through the door, and that tone carries through every event, every committee meeting, and every charitable drive the lodge organizes.

The facility itself tells part of the story. There is a comfortable lodge hall suited for everything from celebrations of life to community fundraisers, and food trucks regularly park out front, giving members and guests a casual reason to linger. Behind the building, a small campground offers water and electric hookups at $30 a night, which means visiting Elks or traveling families can stay close without hunting down a hotel.

The lodge's charitable footprint across Katy, TX is real and measurable. Local nonprofits and youth programs receive consistent support through the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks national framework, amplified by the hands-on effort of Lodge #2628's own members. If you are curious about membership or simply want to attend an event, this is a place where strangers quickly stop feeling like strangers.

What We Offer

Lodge #2628 offers its members and the Katy community a broad range of programs anchored in the Elks' four pillars: charity, justice, brotherly love, and fidelity. Regular social events fill the calendar, from weekly dinners and themed nights to holiday gatherings that draw families from across the Fort Bend corridor.

Community service is woven into the lodge's weekly rhythm. Members organize scholarship drives for local students, support veterans' programs in partnership with the national Elks organization, and respond to local needs as they arise. The facility is available for private events like celebrations of life or organizational meetings, giving the surrounding community access to a well-maintained space with a staff that genuinely cares about the occasion.

For those who enjoy the outdoors, the on-site campground provides a convenient and affordable base, especially during Katy-area events and festivals. Food truck partnerships out front mean there is almost always something good to eat on the grounds, making a visit feel less like an errand and more like an afternoon well spent.

"When I moved Dad to Katy around Christmas 2023, I searched for a place to take him to grab a bite and let him meet or make friends. I found out Katy Elks Lodge had an AYCE breakfast buffet on the first Saturday of the month and convinced Dad to try it. He enjoyed the food, the people, the families who came. It's on his calendar and he looks forward to it. Different delicious meals each time! We've enjoyed the various activities through the year. A mystery dinner, a play, occasional dinners, karaoke. Certainly it's a fun all for all ages environment and everyone is welcoming. We haven't had a need to rent the space for an event but the location is ideal, should the need arise!"

Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
